About our company
The company was founded in 1995 by Simon Brock, who has extensive knowledge of the IT industry and the Internet. Simon has also written extensively for IT magazines. Our first clients were print-publishers experimenting with putting content on-line for the first time.
A bit of history
As the web became more mainstream, more powerful, and more complex, we recognised that bespoke developments would become more expensive for clients to buy and maintain, so our strategy turned to developing a process that allowed for the complete front end of a web site to be produced without need for bespoke programming.
To deliver this strategy, the company developed its own innovative template system for producing web sites from content management systems. Coupled with modern HTML and CSS techniques, this system enables anyone with HTML skills to produce powerful web sites.
Our next strategic move was to develop our own content management application.
We wanted a system that would reflect widely used content production workflows, could clearly separate the function of storing and managing content from the way that it appears with a website design, and would allow simple changes to be made simply.
Since 1995 we have responded to new publishing requirements and taken advantage of emerging technologies by developing a series of new content management solutions; but our strategy for building complex solutions in a simple way has never wavered.
How we shape up today
Today we continue to develop our templating system and our content management application is in its 6th release.
Our most recent addition is the ability to create custom article types that can be easily generated and can hold any content structure required by the site. This option means that a complex data format is instantly normalised by the management system and can be presented in html templates without any new code.
So to summarise what we do
- We build dynamic web sites that are simple to use and simple to manage.
- We use the very latest technologies and integrate with the 'best-in-class' applications to put your content to work.
- We aim to separate the technical from the creative elements of each build; this means that we never sacrifice usability for functionality.
We measure our success by the performance, productivity and profit derived from your digital publishing assets.
