Spectator Live on Kindle

Spectator Magazine has become one of the first UK magazines to produce a version for the Kindle. Owners of the Kindle in the US (and in Europe when it is released here later in the year) will be able to get their copy of the magazine delivered to their Kindle as soon as it is available.

This was made possible by the Wide Area CMS which allows content to be exported from InDesign directly into the CMS. Once there the content can be used on the web site, Kindle and other devices such as iPhone applications.

Wide Area has been working with Press Holdings over the last two years. In that time the traffic on The Spectator web site has increased six fold and it has seen an expansion in the number and type of sections of content available. The site has magazine, content, blogs, store and forums.
