The subscriptions wizard was developed to make the process of creating online subscriptions simple without sacrificing creative control.
In most organisations the process by which a subscription form is set up on the web is shown in the diagram below.

The problem with this approach is the forms pass from your control to someone else. Once they get hold of your design they have to write a script to make it work and they always change your design to make it fit in their script. If you want to change the design you have to go through the whole process again.

With the subscriptions wizard, the design always stays under your control. Your team create the design the way you want it to look and they upload their design to the subscriptions wizard. It checks that the design has all the required fields and pages. If everything is ok, your designed pages are then made available on the web. All the programming is taken care of in the wizard -- the software checks for valid fields and provides a mechanism to flag mistakes back to the subscriber. |
