demonstration instructions (cont)

The next page of the set up is shown below.

This page allows you to:

  • name the campaign (which is used in the management reports);
  • provide a short name (used for easy linking);
  • confirm the campaign type (in this case new acquisitions but can also be used for renewals);
  • set up start and end dates for the campaign; and
  • optionally how many subscriptions to accept before closing the campaign;

Once you have set these parameters your page should look like the one above at which point you should move on to page five which allows you to set up data protection options. This is a reasonably complex page and is very client dependent. In the case we are collecting post, phone, email and mobile messaging options with 'soft opt-ins' which are prechecked opt-ins as opposed to 'hard' opt-ins or opt-outs. For the example, you should ensure the options are selected as below:

Moving ont to page six, we are now going to upload the HTML. You will have been provided with a link to a zip file with your demostration instructions and that is the file you upload here. You should click on the button next to the 'file must be in zip format' (which may not be called Browse in your browser). You will then get an open file dialogue box which you should use to find the zip file you have downloaded from the email. The zip file will contain many files so the software needs to know which file to start with -- in this case Opening.html -- which will contain marketing information before the forms.

On page 7, the wizard has read the zip file and checked everything is ok. If not it will complain while here it is confirming that the words for data protection statements and the options are what you were expecting.

The wizard shows a final page showing everything is ok:

and allows you to test your subscription campaign.

Now you have set this campaign, you can edit this campaign and try it for yourself!
